Christina Greenwood, 58, of Idyllwild died Friday, Nov. 7, 2009, at home from cancer.

She was born Nov. 25, 1950, to Nancy and Keith Greenwood in Los Angeles.

She was an avid equestrian and a waitress. She was the queen of the Newhall Trail Riders in California Western-style riding. She also was an accomplished skydiver, scuba diver and cosmetologist. “There wasn’t much of anything Chris couldn’t do,” said her sister, Gina Flores.

“Christina was such a good-hearted, giving person. She adored her birds and animals, and rescued as many as she could.

“She was loved by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but always loved.”

A celebration of her life will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Idyllwild Nature Center.

She is survived by her loved one, Michael; a brother, Steven Greenwood of Los Angeles; a sister in spirit, Gina Flores of Las Vegas; a cousin, Debbie Johnson of Bull Head City, Ariz.; and her dog, Trash.
