Town Hall Adult Softball
Bob Lewis reported on Town Hall Adult Coed Softball games for the week of July 11.

In the week’s first game on July 11, Forest Lumber took on Pacific Slope. Danielle Whitney had a couple base hits and scored a run for Pacific Slope as they built a 6-1 lead. Forest Lumber came back in the last inning, thanks to a key base hit from Jamie Gooch, to pull within one run, but they couldn’t get the tying run home. Pacific Slope beat Forest Lumber 7-6.

The next day, July 12, the Idyllwild Tea Company Cubs hosted Creekstone Inn. The visitors jumped on the Cubs early, led by Jason Sonnier’s four base hits and four runs scored. The Cubs’ Mike Vladika had a single and double, but Creekstone was just too much for the Cubs. The final score was 18-7, Creekstone Inn.

On Wednesday, July 13, Ajax played Café Aroma. This game came down to the end. Although Café Aroma built a 6-0 lead, Ajax came back. Aroma’s Chris Fogle collected a couple base hits and scored a run. In the last inning, Ajax, on Kirsten Torrez’s key base hit, took the lead for good and beat Cafe Aroma 13-8.

The following day, Forest Lumber met Café Aroma. Craig Wills ripped a home run for Café Aroma to keep the game close. Forest Lumber held a slim 8-7 lead in the sixth inning when Buddy Beagle broke the game open with a grand slam. Forest Lumber went on to beat Café Aroma 15-7.

In the week’s final game, July 15, Creekstone Inn hosted Pacific Slope, who jumped to a 10-1 lead thanks to Ryan Righetti’s three base hits. Creekstone Inn roared back behind Brennen Priefer’s two home runs and Creekstone Inn beat Pacific Slope 13-10.
