Monday (Aug. 15) is the deadline for voters to register and be eligible to cast a ballot in the Aug. 30 mail-ballot election. Voter registration forms are available at the Riverside County Registrar of Voters office or on the Internet at www.voteinfo.net. Forms also are available at libraries, post offices and city clerk offices throughout the county.

Because the Aug. 30 election will be conducted completely by mail ballot, there will be no established polling places. The election involves voters in the following jurisdictions:

Idyllwild Fire Protection District

Rancho California Water District

The registrar’s office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept voter registration forms. Forms postmarked by the deadline also are honored. The Registrar of Voters office is located at 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside.

Any U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age by Election Day and not in prison or on parole for a felony is eligible to register to vote.
