Marisa Boccone, 43, of Palm Desert, pleaded guilty to felony burglary last week. She had been arrested on Aug 10.

The Sheriff’s Department reported she was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary of a residence in the 25000 block of Oakwood Street in Idyllwild.

At her Sept. 2 felony settlement hearing, Baccone pleaded guilty and requested an immediate sentence.

Judge Kelly Hansen stated that the court found unusual circumstances existed. In addition, the court recognized that the defendant acknowledged guilt at an early stage and expressed willingness to enter into a residential treatment program.

Although the sentence included a grant of a formal 36-month probation, Boccone was still committed to the custody of the Riverside County Sheriff for 365 days. The court also recommended she participate in a residential substance abuse treatment program.
