Idyllwild Arts welcomes the Vientos Trio for an evening of chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 in Stephens Recital Hall on the Idyllwild Arts campus. The Vientos Trio, is a woodwind ensemble. Its members are Dr. Jennifer Stevenson, clarinet, Michael Kreiner, bassoon, and Ryan Zwahlen, oboe.

Hailed as “accomplished” and “like race horses waiting at the gate” by composer John Adams, the performers of the virtuosic and musically sensitive Vientos Trio are among Southern California’s top young musicians who have performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, Los Angeles Ballet, among countless other orchestras. In 2011 they were winners of the prestigious Beverly Hills Auditions.

The Vientos Trio has been engaging and delighting audiences with their innovative performances since forming in early 2008. With a versatile lineup of programs ranging from concerts featuring new works to interactive musical adventures for children and families, the Vientos Trio is exploring and expanding the repertoire for reed trio while reaching out to new audiences. Committed to musical excellence, Vientos performs exciting repertoire and excels at interacting with audience members, creating a truly memorable and engaging concert experience.
