Animal Rescue Friends of Idyllwild (ARF) is offering three four-hour classes for pet owners and lovers.
Do you know what to do in the event your beloved pet is choking, bleeding, bitten by a snake, quits breathing, breaks a leg or succumbs to one or more of dozens of other unfortunate medical emergencies?
Learn how to deal with restraining and muzzling, rescue breathing, canine and feline CPR; choking, bleeding, and shock management; snake and insect bites, heat and cold injuries, poisoning, and seizures.
Christina Dunlap, a nationally certified PetTech CPR and first aid instructor, will teach the classes from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25 and then again from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday Feb. 26. The classes are limited to 12 students per class and are beginning to fill up. For registration information email [email protected] or call AFT at (951) 659-1122.
