Town Hall Youth Basketball
Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on youth basketball for both the College League (kindergarten through third-grade) and the Pro League (third- through sixth-grade) for the week of Feb. 27.

College League (Kindergarten through third-grade)
The playoff games for the College League will start at 5 p.m., Monday and Thursday nights, March 5 and 8.

Pro League (Third- through sixth-grade)
The Pro League teams played their final regular season games Tuesday night, Feb. 28.

Reece Whitney (#3), Preston Pino (#10), Ryder Dittman (#2), Cole Sonnier (#5), Lucy Tate (#2), and Lilah Whitney (#4) during the Monday night K-3 Division Championship game between the Gators and the Wolverines.
In the first game the Fairway Market Lakers took on the Roby Gray Construction Cavs. Both teams were great all game. The Lakers built an early lead thanks to a big game from Stephan Carmen (12 points). The Cavs had a great team effort from four players who scored 3 or more points (Garrett, Carmen, Payton, Aaron). The Cavs stayed close but the Lakers won 20-15.

The last game of the regular season, which pitted the the Town Crier Clippers against the Idyllwild Automotive Grizzlies, determined who was the 2nd seed and 4th seed in the playoffs.

Both teams played super tough all game and kept the score close the whole way. The Grizzlies were led by Zach Fogle who scored 11 points and the Clippers were led by Chayton Kenyon who scored 10 points. The Grizzlies went into the fourth quarter leading by a single point. The Clippers played hard and had chances to take the lead but couldn’t get the big basket as the Grizzlies held on to win 17-16.

The Pro League’s playoff games will be 5 p.m., Tuesday and Friday nights, March 6 and 9.
