Brendan Steele’s consecutive-cut streak ended at two last week when he shot 72 and 79 for 151 total during the first two days of The Players Championship on the TPC Sawgrass course at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., missing the cut by seven strokes.
The native Idyllwilder’s stats hint at trouble hitting greens in regulation and long putts when he did, making scoring difficult, as it was the previous week in North Carolina.

But Steele will climb right back up on his horse this week at the $6.5 million HP Byron Nelson Championship played on the course at the TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas.
