No. How about criminal control?
The looney in Colorado will get a trial. When convicted he’ll get an automatic appeal. Then there’ll be another and another. He’ll quite probably die of old age in prison.
Instead we need to come down hard and fast on this class of criminal. One trial with a very thorough psychiatric evaluation. If found guilty, the criminal is put to death. Immediately.
Prevention? Fast track the licensing and training of concealed carry applicants.
One armed person in that Colorado theater would have made a big difference. Eliminate penalties for those who use a weapon to defend themselves or others (after a thorough investigation).
Allow the people to protect themselves.
