The Friends of the Idyllwild Library will hold a weekend book sale on Friday, Oct. 26, Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28, inside the library at 54185 Pine Crest Ave. All items will be in great condition. This will be the last sale at the current location, and everything must go.

There will be many books available, including cookbooks and craft books and very reasonably priced magazines and cassette audiobooks. Some furniture that is owned by the Friends of the Library will also be offered for sale.

The Friends of the Library will accept donations for the book sale until Oct. 24. They may be donated from 10 a.m. until noon, on Monday Oct. 15, Wednesday Oct. 17, Friday Oct. 19, Saturday Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 24. Clean, nondamaged items are desired.

The Friends are seeking volunteers to help with the sale set up, the sale itself, and the “tear down.” They also encourage people to become members. Membership forms will be at the sale, and are available at the library desk.

When the new library opens on Oct. 24, there will be a permanent bookstore open during library hours. This will be organized by Booksale Chairperson Gay Reeves, as have been all the previous booksales for the past few years.

The new library will be open more frequently, thanks to additional funding provided by the Friends of the Library. The new days and hours will be Mondays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays noon to 8 p.m., Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays noon to 5 p.m., Fridays noon to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
