ARF had one wish for Santa: Please give just one dog a forever home. And we got our wish. Domino, our Lab mix, was left to die without food, water, or human contact for five days until an angel rescued and brought her to ARF. It was love at first sight, even through the window, for Domino and her new humans. She has her Christmas wish with a new bed, a sweater to keep her warm, her new pack of four-leggeds and humans and love for the rest of her life. Paws up to you Domino. ARF loves you.

ARF would like to introduce Santa’s babies and their mom. Sandy lost her human family, but has a new family now.

In memory of Sandy Hook Elementary, we have named the mom Sandy, and the babies after the children who lost their lives: Dillon, Noah, Rachel and Olivia. There is a black female, a brown female, and a black male, and a brown male. They are about 8 weeks old.
Oreo Cookie

Dear Santa: My name is Oreo Cookie. My ears are listening for those sleigh bells that will take me to a home. I am friendly with all other dogs, a little curious about the feline crowd, and very friendly with the humans. I am young enough to play and love the adventure of a walk. The humans say I am part Boston terrier-Chihuahua mix. I do tricks too! I can twirl and dance about especially when my food bowl is ready. My greatest wish, Santa, is for a loving forever warm home.

Baby Girl Faith has a special wish for Santa.

Baby Girl Faith

Dear Santa: I was discarded in the dirt and left to die. I am alive today because someone made a change in their routine, took me to a vet immediately, and then fostered me. Yes, I am available for adoption. But my wish is for more fosters to open their hearts and homes for the many ARF animals so they could be as lucky as I. Please consider allowing a small space for us in your home.

ARF has many cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.arfidyllwild.weebly.com and click on Petfinder. All pets are spayed, neutered, and current on shots. ARF is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. Call (951) 659-1122 or email [email protected] for appointment on any other day.

Creature corner is sponsored this week by Anne and Barnaby Finch. To sponsor the column, call Shane Fender at the Town Crier, 659-2145.
