The first game pitted the Idyllwild Arts Clippers against the Suburban Propane Heat. The Clippers started hot and scored early and often to take a big lead in the first half. Bryan Mabery helped lead a Heat comeback early in the second half with a couple of big steals; but the Clippers would not relinquish their lead. They continued to play solid defense and got a big basket from Alia Teeguarden in the fourth quarter. The Clippers won 21-11.

The second game was between the Fairway Market Lakers and the Town Crier Cavs, who jumped out to a quick lead. The Cavs’ Peyton Priefer stole the ball on the Lakers first possession and put in a layup at the other end and the Cavs never looked back as they built a big lead. The Lakers, playing short-handed, hustled all night and never gave up. Jeremiah Whitney played tough and scored ten points to lead the Lakers. But the Cavs lead was substantial and they won 28-10.
