Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on Town Hall Adult volleyball for the week of Jan 28.

On Monday, Jan. 28, Idyllwild Inn played Idyllwild Chevron. It was a close competitve match that went five games, three of which were decided by two points. The Inn took an early lead and won the first two games behind good hitting from Josh White. The Chevron team didn’t quit and came back to win the next two games and force the fifth and deciding game. Brian Wilson played great attacking the net the whole night for Chevron. The final game went back and forth but Chevron’s cutback could not be stopped. They won the match (20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20 and 19-17).

Tuesday’s match was between Idyllwild Garage and the Red Kettle. Sage Torrez led the Garage to a three-game sweep of the Red Kettle despite Matt McDonald’s great setting for the Red Kettle. The game scores were 25-10, 25-19 and 27-25.

On Thursday, Jan. 31, Silver Pines Lodge and Forest Lumber met. Both teams played well keeping all the games close. In only her second game for Forest Lumber, Tawny Harrington played well. Silver Pines came up with the big points when they needed them as they went on to win in three games. Josh Leih played great at the net for Silver Pines. The game scores were 25-21, 25-21 and 25-22.
