Jim Crandall, Palms to Pines Golf Association handicap chair, provided this report about the Friday, April 19, golf tournament at the Diamond Valley Golf Club.

Idyllwild’s Gary Brown shot a hole-in-one on the par 3 17th hole during Palms to Pines Golf Association’s regular monthly tournament. Brown is the first member to ever hole-in-one in the club’s more than 15-year history. He won a special prize for this feat.

In stroke play, John LoGiudice (course handicap 23), took first place with a net 65, John Brower (11) and Mike Feyder (23) tied for second with net 69s, John McAndrews (40) took fourth with a net 71, and Robert Priefer (27) took fifth with a net 72.

The four closest-to-the-pin contests were won by Chuck Alkire on holes nos. 4 and 13, Feyder on hole 6, and Brown with his hole-in-one on hole 17.
