As I began reading Jeff Smith’s latest letter [see the May 9 issue of the Town Crier], I thought “Oh, boy, he’s at it again.”
I covered the name of the sender as I frequently do with letters to the editor, trying to guess who the author is. But as I read on, I thought that this was way over the top of the usual tirades, so when I reached the end and looked at the name, I was a little taken aback.
My heart goes out to him and his family. What a terrible world he lives in! He attacked nearly every organization on the Hill that serves the public. His world seems to be closing in on him, with demons everywhere he looks, seeing graft, corruption and greed in all.
I hope he finds peace eventually in his world of torment.
