Tindle Newspapers, the owner of the building in which the Town Crier is presently leasing space, has asked all of its tenants, including the Town Crier, to leave by July 1.

Also, Tindle has announced that its subsidiary, Idyllwild Publications Inc., has reached an agreement in principle to sell assets, including the Town Crier, to a new close corporation that Jack and Becky Clark of Idyllwild have formed. That sale is expected to close shortly.

Mrs. Clark was publisher-editor of the Town Crier from 1996 to 2009, and has worked at the Town Crier since 1984 under three ownerships. The move to the new location will be her third with the Town Crier.

She will return to her position as publisher-editor, as well as president and CEO of the new corporation.

Mr. Clark is secretary/treasurer and CFO of the new corporation. He will continue to follow Idyllwild pro golfer Brendan Steele and contribute these reports to the newspaper.

The new Town Crier office will open Monday, June 24, and be located in the front suite in the Oakwood Village center at 54425 North Circle Drive. The office will be closed Friday, June 21, for the primary move.

The Town Crier will continue publication uninterrupted.
