The Mountain Fire will go down as one of the most consequential events in Idyllwild’s history, and we at the Idyllwild Area Historical Society hope to document as complete a record of it as we can. As part of our effort we invite all local residents to share your experience of the event, whether you evacuated or remained on the Hill.
We can best preserve written accounts and photographs. For example, tell what you saw and did, what you thought and how you felt about it, how you prepared, what you considered most important to take with you off the Hill.
