It has been a busy year in Idyllwild with ownership changes to some businesses and the addition of a new and unique dining establishment, The Crepe Beyond downstairs in The Fort.
Jonie Millhouse and Richard Kennedy are the new owners. Millhouse has been an Idyllwild resident for 11 years and is well known to many locals. With Australian-born Kennedy, the two wanted to create “something different” for the Idyllwild dining scene that focused on simple, delicious, organic food served in a friendly environment. The Crepe Beyond is the culmination of this vision.
“You won’t find a deep-fryer or microwave in our kitchen,” Millhouse said. “All of our food is handmade and fresh … Some folk have never tried a savory crepe and can’t imagine having one for dinner, but once they’ve tried our salmon crepe or sweet onion and prosciutto crepe, they are instant fans.”
The ambiance at The Crepe Beyond is cool, clean and relaxed.
Amore Retreat is also new to Idyllwild and is owned and operated by Dr. M.P. Wylie. Amore Retreat offers personalized seminars, retreats and counseling for individuals and couples.
