A former Idyllwild Arts Academy bassoonist was featured in the Sept. 15 metro morning edition of the Omaha World-Herald. Wenmin Zhang, of Beijing, China, was Carolyn Beck’s student at the school.

Zhang has just been accepted as the second bassoonist in the Omaha Symphony, and the article told the story of his struggle to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional musician.
