Country music star, Nashville recording artist and California native Duke Michaels will perform at Jo’An’s Restaurant and Bar from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.
Michaels has spent the last 25 years touring the U.S. delivering his own brand of traditional country music to his fans.
A fan of country stars George Strait, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith and his favorite, Merle Haggard, Michael’s music “speaks” to his fans in a very personal way; much like the country stars he admires so much.
Michaels also is a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1982. Following his service he spent seven years overseas with his band, the Wolf Creek Band, entertaining troops in Bosnia, Japan, Okinawa, Singapore, Germany, Korea, Diego Garcia, Kosovo and Iraq.
Michaels has released several CDs, most recently “Duke Michaels Honky Tonk Crowd” in 2012. For more information and a schedule of appearances visit Michaels online at www.duckemichaelsband.com.
