Shiloh Christian Ministries is in the process of relocating to the former Town Crier building located at 54295 Village Center Dr. Pastor Kristeen Bandelin is excited about the move. “Being in the center of town we’re hoping to have a better outreach,” she said. “The new location puts us in the hub of the community.” Bandelin hopes to start services in the new location the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Sunday services continue at Shiloh’s current location at 54960 Pine Crest Ave.; Wednesday services have been canceled until after the move.
Two businesses located in the Fort have recently closed; the House of Jerky and Crepe Beyond are no longer in business. The Spruce Moose now carries House of Jerky products.
Little Chef in the Forest at 54710 N. Circle Dr. also closed recently. A new restaurant, the Swiss Fondue House, owned by Peter and Antonietta Zuber of Switzerland, plans to open in mid-December. The restaurant will serve traditional Swiss fondue, Raclette (a type of cheese) and a variety of desserts, and will offer beer and wine.
Trinkets and Treasures, a new retail business owned by Lora Swanson, opened Oct. 17 at 54141 Lower Pine Crest Ave. The shop will offer new and resale items including clothing, furniture, plants, Halloween costumes and other must-have trinkets and treasures.
