Art Alliance of Idyllwild

The Art Alliance of Idyllwild pulled the names of the miniature deer statue winners at the end of last Thursday’s Idyllwild Community Center Speaker Series.

Erich and Patsy Everbach, part-timers and one of the Deer Sighting sponsors, won the miniature doe.

The response to AAI’s upcoming Friday, Jan. 24, gathering has been overwhelming, according to organizers. As a result, in order to accommodate the 70-plus attendees already registered, the venue has been changed from the Rainbow Inn to the Idyllwild Community Presbyterian Church. Entrance to the social hall is through the double doors in the back of the church.

A social will start at 5:30 p.m. with breakout groups from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Bring a writing utensil and an appetite to have fun.

This is an opportunity to hear AAI’s future plans and be a participant in the planning of events and public art projects. It is open to all those supporting art in Idyllwild …

 

Idyllwild Conversations

John Huddleston, an arborist from Santa Barbara, will be giving a fruit-tree pruning demonstration this Saturday as part of the Idyllwild Orchard Project. The event takes place at 26808 Saunders Meadow Road. It begins at 10 a.m. and will run about two hours.

Following that pruning, the group will meet for lunch at noon (bring a bag lunch). Another pruning demonstration begins at 1 p.m. at Rick Barker’s house, 53810 Tollgate Ave. The public is welcome to these free events Idyllwild Conversations is sponsoring.
