Local high school seniors need to submit applications for the Idyllwild Scholarship Fund to the Idyllwild School office by the end of the school day Tuesday, April 15.

The criteria are: 1) parent or legal guardian and student have lived in the attendance area served by Idyllwild School for three or more years of their kindergarten to eighth-grade years; 2) parent or legal guardian and student have lived in the attendance area served by Idyllwild School two of the four high school years; and 3) applicant has attained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 10th through 12th grades or had a combined SAT score of 1600 (or ACT of 20).

Verification of residency throughout the student’s kindergarten through 12 years may be required.

For home-school students, applications may be picked up at the Idyllwild School office or downloaded from the Idyllwild Scholarship Fund website, www.idyllwildscholarshipfund.org.

Hemet Unified School District students may check with their counselor to make sure the counselor has forwarded the application to the ISF committee.

In past years, ISF has had about $13,000 a year to distribute for scholarships. This year, ISF has received an additional $1,500 from the Idyllwild Community Fund to award to a deserving student.

The Idyllwild Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax-deductible.
