Mark Dean of Pine Cove finished the 118th Boston Marathon in less than four hours. His actual time of 3:55:31 resulted in finishing 328 for his age group (60-64 years) for which there were more than 1,600 racers. The total number of entrants exceeded 35,000 and Dean finished in 16,832th place.
His overall pace was 9:07 minutes per mile.
This is only his fourth marathon and the second time he has run the Boston race.
