Matthew James Subish, 41, was arrested in Idyllwild on May 13, 2014, on a charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person. The district attorney’s office filed that charge, and Subish entered a plea of not guilty. The case is currently set for a Felony Settlement Conference at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 in Department S204 in Murrieta. Subish was picked up in Idyllwild on a bench warrant on Aug. 13 and currently is in custody.

In October  2011, Subish was arrested in Idyllwild and charged with burglary. He was convicted of a felony on his plea of guilty in that matter.

In 2008, Subish was convicted on a plea of guilty to an earlier felony charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person.

He has had other more minor violations of the law, including driving with a suspended license and driving without proof of financial responsibility.
