An Oceanside man committed suicide on the Idyllwild Summit Trail in Idyllwild County Park last week.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was notified at 12:13 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, to respond to the suicide of Jastin Pak, 27. Because of confidentiality issues, Public Information Officer Albert Martinez said no details could be given of how he died and why.
The Canadian rider who was killed in a motorcycle vs. truck collision on Highway 74 on Monday, Nov. 3, has been identified as Eric Lanktree, 25, of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, the Riverside County Coroner’s office reported. According to DiscoverWeyburn.com, Lanktree was a six-year member of the Weyburn Fire Department.
The 42-year-old Hemet rider killed Tuesday, Nov. 4, on Highway 243 near Riverside County Playground Road in a solo motorcycle crash has not been identified pending notification of the legal next-of-kin, according to the Coroner’s office. (See cutline below for more information.)
