CLASSIC CAR CRASHES: James Dunn gives information to California Highway Patrol Officer Ron Esparza after father Robert Dunn of Idyllwild collided with an SUV Sunday morning on Highway 243 near the Nature Center. Jacob Murphy of San Clemente was driving a Toyota 4Runner on the Nature Center road at about 11:45 a.m. After stopping at the intersection to the highway, he reported that he looked and then turned left toward Pine Cove when he was struck by Dunn’s classic purple Suburban traveling at 45 to 50 mph on Highway 243. Dunn’s vehicle sustained major front-end damage. Murphy was uninjured but his passenger, Jocylin Fuentes, complained of pain to the left rib and was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
