Penelope and Alois Smrz visted the Santa Fe Opera House on Aug. 22 for the world premiere of a new American Opera by Jennifer Higdon called “Cold Mountain” based on the novel by Frazier and the subsequent movie. “It was a great and moving experience!” Penelope reports.
