On Thursday, Jan. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m., several public transportation agencies and organizations want to hear the opinions from Inland Empire residents about regional highways and road conditions, and general transportation issues.

Another topic will be proposals to stabilize funding for transportation system repairs and maintenance.

The forum’s sponsors are the California Transportation Commission, Southern California Association of Governments, Riverside County Transportation Commission, San Bernardino Associated Governments, the Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce and Inland Action.

Thursday’s public forum will be at the Riverside County Administration Center located at 4080 Lemon Street in Riverside.

A sample of the topics to be covered at the forum include roadway infrastructure and maintenance needs at the local, regional and state levels; reasons for California’s and the Inland Empire’s deteriorating transportation system; and potential short-term solutions to stabilize road repair and maintenance funding over the longer term.
