The Art Alliance of Idyllwild will host a community potluck just for the fun of it. With the tagline, “The community that eats together stays together,” the event is open to the community and free to all. Noted the Alliance website, “Art is often a reflection of life, and what better way to inspire art than to have a community social.”

AAI President Shanna Robb said the event will be low key, and will provide a chance to meet, mingle and celebrate an old Idyllwild tradition of sharing food as a community. She stressed, “This is not a meeting. It’s a community social.”

Attendees are asked to bring one item to share, as well as utensils and plates. “You are also welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic drink,” said Robb. “The AAI will also have soda available for a small donation.”

Event Chair Veda Roubideaux said Local Color will perform and the evening will be one of “good company, good food and good music.”

The potluck will be held, where so many were held in the past, at Idyllwild Town Hall, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.

Register on the AAI website, www.artinidyllwild.com by Wednesday, Feb. 3. If bringing guests, enter guest count.
