The Hemet Unified School District governing board will consider new bargaining agreements with the Hemet Teachers Association and the California School Employees’ Association at its Feb. 23 meeting.
Both agreements include a retroactive pay raise from July 1, 2015, and then another increase through June 30, 2018. Beginning July 1, 2018, the 1-percent salary increase will end, unless new agreements are negotiated before then.
HTA has already approved the proposed agreements and HUSD Superintendent Dr. Barry Kayrell is recommending them to the board.
The trustees also will address eliminating mitigation agreements that have become obsolete because of state law.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the HUSD Office Board Room, 1791 W. Acacia Avenue in Hemet.
