Last week in “The Days of Our Nine Lives,” all ARF cats were wondering who might get adopted during the Clear the Shelter event.

Rose

Bobbie: I don’t want to hear a word about the “lucky” ones.

Sadie: Don’t be snarky just cuz you didn’t get adopted.

Leia: I heard that Dovey got a foster/trial adoption.

Bobbie: Yea, and supposedly it’s going really well.

Violet

Bill: And Ginger found a forever home. She’s a happy girl.

Bobbie: And can you believe the dogs got adopted, too? Bailey and Paris got great homes, and even that yellow Lab Eddie Van

Camellia

Halen, who was eligible for adoption just last Sunday, is on a trial adoption.

Violet: (bursting into the cattery) And now we’re here! Ta-da!

Bobby: Noooo! More kittens? What the heck?

Sadie: Yep, there are four little girls, pretty as a bouquet of flowers.

Poppy

Leia: That’s right. There are Camellia, Poppy and Rose who are all Siamese-mixes.

Violet: And I’m a tabby!

Rose: (stepping forward) I’m Rose, and my nose is pink just like a little rose bud.

Bobbie: (aside) Oh, good grief.

Camellia: Poppy and I look a lot alike, but her tail and ears are a bit darker than mine.

Violet: The bottom line is, we’re all so adorable.

Rose: Look at my crystal blue eyes!

Camellia: And mine!

Poppy: And mine, too!

Leia: Welcome to the ARF Cattery, girls! But you’re so cute I doubt you’ll be around for long.

Bobbie: When will kitten season ever end? Any of you have some catnip? I could use some.

Sadie: Hang in there, Bobbie. Your forever family is out there somewhere.

When will a human have mercy on Bobbie and take her home? Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “The Days of our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243, Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.

Creature Corner is sponsored In Loving Memory of Kelly O’Connor from Tycho & Lucia.
