Brendan Steele posted a 4-over-par 71-73 — 144 at the PGA Championship at the Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey last week. From his stats, it appears that driving accuracy was a bit of a problem (he hit 13 of 29 fairways), he lost most of a stroke to the field with approach irons, and his putter wasn’t working particularly well, either — he lost 2.679 strokes to the field putting, needing 1.958 putts per green.

In his four most recent major-tournament appearances, the Idyllwild native finished 12th in last year's PGA, 15th in this year's U.S. Open, and missed the cut in this years The (British) Open and PGA.

B tees it up Thursday in the Travelers Championship on the TPC River Highlands course in Cromwell, Connecticut. The Town Crier will have his tee times available at our website and on our app sometime Tuesday afternoon.
