Last week in Days of Our Nine Lives, the ARF cats welcomed Dahlia into their cattery.
George: Hey! Bobbie wants everyone to gather around.
Sadie: Well, most of us are here. Where’s Grace?
George: Yea, and where’s that new little girl, Dahlia?
Bobbie: (Entering the room) Is everyone here?
Sadie: Dahlia and Grace are the only ones who aren’t.
Bobbie: Very observant, Sadie. And you’re correct. They are missing because on Saturday they both found their forever families!
Mr. Gray: How wonderful! Wow, Dahlia wasn’t here very long. And come to think of it, Grace wasn’t here so long, either.
Pepper: So this means there are only seven of us left waiting for forever homes.
Bobbie: No, there are eight.
Pepper: Bobbie, I think your math is off.
Bobbie: Ha! It’s eight because we have a new cattery member. (Calling into the cattery) Audrey! Come on in and meet the gang!
Audrey: (Enters the room) Hello! I’m so happy to meet you all. I’m Audrey, and I’m about six-years old. I’m really happy to be here because I like other cats. And children! I like children, too.
George: Well, hello, Gorgeous! Your green eyes are amazing.
Mr. Gray: Geeze, George! Give her some time before you make your move! She’s been here only a few days.
George: Sorry, Audrey, but you’re very pretty.
Audrey: (embarrassed) That’s okay, George. You’re pretty handsome, I must say.
Bobbie: Okay, Audrey, so I guess you’re going to feel right at home.
Audrey: I think I am.
Mr. Gray: And it will be a nice home until your forever family comes along.
