I am saddened by the events of the Memorial Day Weekend yard sale. Never in 28 years of living in Idyllwild have I had signs pulled down, replaced by someone else’s yard sale signs, or crumpled and thrown by the roadside.

Aren’t we are all supposed to be neighbors having fun and helping each other? We have so much to be grateful for because we live on the Hill. Let’s honor this beautiful blessing.

  1. Some neighbors in Idyllwild ignore the limit on yard sales per year and host them multiple times over the limit in order to generate income in a residential area. They appear to ignore the traffic nuisance which they can cause as well as the simple common sense approach of the county ordinance which encourages us to BE neighborly. Same goes for dog barking in excess of reason. Common sense anyone?
