Jim Crandall, Palms to Pines Golf Association handicap chair, provided this report about the regular monthly tourney, held on Friday, June 30, at  The Country Club at Soboba Springs.

It was a beautiful day, the course was in good shape, and low scores were the order of the day.

Lee Lanfried (course handicap 26) and Ken Garelick (25) shot net 64s to tie for first place. Pete Capparelli (24) and Crandall (15) shot net 67s to tie for third. And Dennis Chavez (8) and Barry Zander (35) tied for fifth with net 69s.

The closest-to-the-pin winners on the four par-3 holes were Zander on hole no. 4, Holzman on no. 8, Mike Higginbotham on no. 13 and Crandall on the 15th hole.
