At the July 25 Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting, 3rd District Supervisor Chuck Washington asked his colleagues to approve a $2,500 grant to the Idyllwild Arts Foundation.

The funds are for the 2017 Jazz in Pines. For the third consecutive year, Washington is making this donation to what he calls “an enriching weekend of jazz performances.”

The funds are derived from a portion of the county’s Community Improvement Designation monies, from which each supervisor receives a portion to grant to his constituents and local organizations.

In May, Washington provided money for the 2017 Idyllwild Summer Concert Series.
