Middle Ridge Winery Tasting Gallery is once again rotating the art exhibit in its 4,000-square-foot gallery with works to leave you feeling inspired and just a little groovier. Appropriately called “The Idyllwild Collection: Feeling Groovy,” the new exhibit features more than 150 works created by 26 artists from the Art Alliance of Idyllwild.

“We are so fortunate to be part of such an incredible community of talented artists,” said Melody Johnston who, along with her husband and winemaker Chris, opened Middle Ridge Winery Tasting Gallery to create a space where their love of wine and love of art could come together. “Feeling Groovy invites art lovers to slow down, let the art speak to them and take it all in with visual treats created with the dramatic and emotive use of color, light, shape and movement.”

Middle Ridge’s Afternoon with the Artists is open to the public from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 29. The exhibit will unveil the talents of local artists, some of whom are being featured in a gallery environment for the first time and some who are featuring mediums they have never shown in a gallery before.

Visitors will have the opportunity to sip, talk and walk through the tasting gallery while getting to know the artists.

Also, Latin-infused jazz sounds of local guitarist Joe Baldino will accompany the event. The entertainment continues into the evening with the folk bluegrass music of singer/songwriter John Malcolm Penn from 5-8 p.m.
