Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 8, Riverside County Code Enforcement and sheriff's deputies arrived in Idyllwild, obtained enough evidence and closed two medical marijuana dispensaries for violations of land-use codes. One of the dispensaries (top photo) is on the corner of Highway 243 and Pine Crest Avenue. The other is in the Village Lane.

However, shortly after the Country Club Smoke Shop was closed, the violation signs were taken down, the door was open and people were seen going in and out.

  1. I have a strong opinion on the matter. However politically incorrect opinions are not allowed and humor is not well received among strangers on the Internet, so I am only left with “NO COMMENT” so as not to stirr up mixed feelings and Town Crier censorship of public posts.

  2. Town crier, I would like to see more news and less bias from your writers. A whole story would be nice. Not the fraction that we got here. A small town with people that like to talk can quickly see what’s really happening. We do not live in boxes. Please change these tactics. Two sides to a coin.
