At 9:30 a.m. already about 75 people had gathered at the Idyllwild Library for a solar eclipse viewing party. The library has a telescope (on loan from AstroCamp) and eclipse viewing glasses available. The library also shows NASA's live stream of the solar eclipse from the peak locations as it makes its way across the US. For Idyllwild, the eclipse reaches its apex of 65 percent coverage over the sun at about 10:24 a.m.
