  1. Great coverage but you failed to mention volunteer reserve co. 63 was first engine on scene and put out the veg fire and went into defensive until other company’s arrived

  2. Kinda ironic that the fire station is only about 150ft away from the house.

  3. Unaffiliated Single barn fire departments are a danger to any rural area, period. Pile on a volunteer component not accountable to an integrated training facility such as CAL-Fire/Riverside County Fire you have a recipe for disaster.

In this case these are highly trained CAL-Fire accountable firefighters.

I remember the fight between IFPD volunteers and other first responders costing thousands in vehicle damage to first responder vehicles on a fully involved house fire in Pine Cove at taxpayer expense. Needless to say this house burned to the ground.

This is not my view of good community volunteer firefighter conduct. In fact it is criminal misconduct identified by the Riverside County Grand Jury against volunteers at IFPD, among many other grand jury identified, uncorrected, and endemic problems at this single barn, unaligned, non CAL-Fire department.

Janet thanks for praising CAL-Fire volunteer firefighters at station 63. I see you neglected to identify their CAL-Fire alignment.

Properly vetted CAL-Fire volunteers yes, IFPD volunteers, stay back in the barn, and keep playing games on the internet.
