The Art Alliance of Idyllwild held a “Winter Solstice” Art Show last Saturday with judged, themed art and 150 pieces of artwork by 48 artists. A winter wonderland gallery was set up in the Town Hall all within a matter of a few hours.

Christine Dodd, judge for the event, commented “I had a hard time choosing ribbon winners because of the high quality of submissions.” Dodd is the creative director for the Palm Springs Art Patron and Laguna Beach Art Patron magazines.

She awarded the following ribbons:

The first-place art work in the 2D category at the Art Alliance of Idyllwild’s “Winter Solstice” Art Show was Jessica Schiffman’s “Dogs.”

 

Carol Landry won Best Theme for “Solstice Glow on Trees.”

 

Best in Show went to Valentina Lamdin for “Bouquet.”

 

First-place for Photograph went to Peter Szabadi for “Waiting for a Blessing.”
