Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the cats and Shay discussed pending adoptions.
Panther: Attention everyone! Come into the office for a meeting.
Mr. Gray: We’re coming. Why are you calling a meeting? Isn’t that Little Girl’s job?
Panther: Well, it was. It’s mine now because Little Girl has found her forever home!
Pepper: That’s wonderful!
Mr. Gray: And Panther, don’t you have more news?
Panther: I do! Khalessi also found her forever home this last week, and I am now the new office cat.
Indigo: But there is also some kinda sad news. Shay was supposed to go to his forever home at the end of this month, but the nice man who was going to be his forever dad unfortunately received some bad personal news.
Panther: So he is again available for adoption. Oh, here he is now!
Shay: Hi, Guys. Yeah, I’m bummed. I’m hoping someone who likes to hike and play will adopt me. I’d also like a nice fenced yard.
Indigo: Welcome back, Shay. We’ll find you the perfect home. Don’t worry.
Panther: And we still have one adorable kitten looking for his forever home. He will be 8 weeks old by the
weekend and ready to be adopted. All of his siblings have homes, and we really don’t want him left here by himself. He’s not old enough to join the cattery.
Pepper: Poor little guy. Someone really needs to adopt him this week.
Mr. Gray: Let’s hope the right people come in this week- — right for the kitten, for Shay and for the rest of us!
