The team of Brendan Steele and Jamie Lovemark scored a tie-for-10th place finish in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last week.

The native Idyllwilder is in the midst of a fine season. In 12 official PGA Tour events entered thus far, he has scored seven top-20 finishes, which included three top-10s, two top-fives and a win. He has earned more than $2.1 million thus far this year in official earnings.

Brendan remains 12th on the FedExCup list. Finishing in the top 30 by season’s end is a major objective, since it opens doors to play in this year’s Tour Championship and several other high-level tournaments next year. He’s now also moved up to 44th on the Official World Golf Ranking. The OWGR is a measure of the current best golfers in the world.

Brendan plays in next week’s The Players Championship on the TPC Sawgrass course in Ponte Verde Beach, Florida. The Players is often spoken of as “the fifth major,” and is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world.
