Retired arts educator Ken Young, popular with Idyllwild audiences for his portrayals of famous painters, made his last Idyllwild appearance as French pointillist Georges Seurat Thursday night at the Rainbow Inn. The Friends of the Idyllwild Library and Idyllwild Community Recreation Council co-sponsored the event.

Forest Service selects new ranger for San Jacinto District

This week, San Bernardino National Forest Supervisor Jody Noiron announced Arturo Delgado as her choice for San Jacinto District Ranger. Delgado is currently the Forest Wildlife biologist for the Angeles National Forest and plans to begin at the San Jacinto Ranger District the week of May 20. He replaces Laurie Rosenthal, who retired in January.
