A circle of women gathered, dancing to the heartbeat of the Mother, on Saturday at Spirit Mountain Retreat to celebrate in sacred ceremony the Autumn Equinox and International Peace Day. Esther Kennedy, director of the center, leading the Sacred Circle Dance for Peace in the Mideastern dance “Misirlou.”
Hemet High Schools sophmore runners (from left) Tanner Torrez, Jayden Emerson and Chad Schelly take off in Saturday’s race. Jayden finished third, Tanner fourth and Chad 19th, but the team of five was second to Beaumont by only 63 seconds.
The opening game was between the Idyllwild Professional Cleaning Service Ninja Strikers and the Rotary Raging Rivers. The Ninja Strikers Eduardo Lopez was kicking the ball all over the field and played great for his team. The Raging Rivers’ Finneas Carpenter played great defense and was awesome for his team. He earned player of the game for his team.
