Since important weather and related articles use the moisture statistics from the reports of the Idyllwild Fire Department, it would seem that steps should be taken to assure that the figures representing totals from those reports are correctly described.

Community helps Mayor Max celebrate his birthday

Mayor Max celebrated his 12th birthday with about 100 of his closest friends, human and four-legged, on Sunday afternoon at the Nature Center. Many people brought their dogs to help Max celebrate and even the Nature Center’s bunny showed up to wish him well. Max greeted people and posed for pictures all through the festivities.

The best news this week is that two Dachshunds who were lost in the winter storms came home. Sadie and Rutledge miraculously found their way out of the snow and ice to wander to a porch to ask for help. Paws up to you both for being such troopers. Also reunited was Buddy, the pit bull. And great breaking news: Rachel, the black female puppy has been adopted into a forever home. That leaves three puppies available. Get your applications in now.
