Many Idyllwild girls attended the Hemet High School Volleyball camp for 4th through 9th graders this week. Also several Idyllwild members of the Hemet varisity volleyball team coached the younger players during camp. Sitting in the first row, (from left) are Laney Wilke, Payton Priefer and Rory Wilke. Wendy Read coached Hemet’s AYSO under 10-girls spring select team this spring, The team finished first during the season and in the Thunderbird tournament in Moreno Valley. At the end-of-season playoffs, after two overtimes, the championship game was still tied. Unfortunately, the girls lost the shoot out by one goal. Local Idyllwild resident Shelby Read (bottom right) was on the team.

Emma Klingaman (center) is on the starting line at state championships on May 20. She finished sixth out of 20 in the girls varsity field. Hemet High School earned fifth place overall in Division 1, which included 32 teams.
On May 15, fourth and fifth graders from Idyllwild School participated in the annual Track meet at Hemet High School.
