Buck Fire full containment by Saturday

CAL FIRE status update, as of 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 for the Buck Fire expects full containment by Saturday, Aug. 18. The fire is 60 percent contained as of this reporting and firefighters continue to make good progress towards containment.

Buck Fire evacuations lifted

Effective at 6:00 p.m. all mandatory evacuation orders will be lifted, however residents will need to show proper identification to return to residences. Also effective at 6:00 p.m. – the evacuation center will be shut down.
