A local man was convicted on a plea to guilty of misdemeanor driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 grams or higher, while the first count against him, driving under the influence, was dismissed.<\/p>\n
Rob Richard Rutherford, 56, of Idyllwild was arrested on both May 14, 2014 and May 19, 2014, on the same charges, the second of which involved a solo traffic collision with no injuries.<\/p>\n
Rutherford must be committed to the custody of the sheriff for 60 days, and must, at his own expense, enroll and complete a drinking driver program, the electronic monitoring (ankle bracelet) program, and the secure continuous remote alcohol monitor (SCRAM) program, pay a fine of $1,949, not drive within six hours of consuming any alcohol or drugs, and comply with other terms and conditions during a 48-month probation period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
